Before moving day, confirm your move date, pickup address, delivery address, start time, home size, and access details. Tell your movers about stairs, elevators, parking, long hallways, gate codes, loading docks, tight streets, and any building rules.
If you live in an apartment, condo, or office building, ask management about elevator reservations, loading windows, parking restrictions, certificate of insurance requirements, and move-in or move-out rules.
Clear hallways, doorways, stairs, and walkways before the movers arrive. Remove shoes, rugs, toys, boxes, small furniture, plants, and anything that can slow down the crew or create a tripping hazard.
